Lois Bryan replied:

Adrian, thank you so so much!!!

I looks a little scary, I wonder what this old complex was use for too. Commune maybe... Thanks for sending it to MOUSE!! F/V

Lois Bryan replied:

Thank you, Barbara!!! I think it was too close to a pretty main road for a commune ... but one never knows!!

A very late but heartfelt thanks to the hosts of "Stop Time With Art" ... and "When Man Has Gone" ... I am so happy you found this one and enjoyed it!!!!!

You have a wonderful eye for old, nostalgic places. v/f

Lois Bryan replied:

Lynn, I do love them!!!

Lois, I love discovering structures like this too - great find! I wonder if it could have been a school of some kind? If there is a railroad nearby, it could have also been a railroad hotel for the change-over of the crews. Enjoyed your comment about leaving tire-marks on the road when you spotted this:-) Gave it a vote here & in "That Contest that You Entered" contest also. v

Lois Bryan replied:

Hi Cheri ... you know, it could have been a school, except that it was VERY close to the road. Of course heaven only knows when whatever this was was in use. Possibility about the railroad, but I don't remember seeing tracks nearby ...

lois, you are truly a master of color and contrast. fv!

Lois Bryan replied:

Thank you, Ric!!!

Brilliant concept.Perfect shot!!. f / v

Lois Bryan replied:

Andy, thank you!!!!

Not sure what it is either, Lois, but I think it's so neat. And I love your post processing and that wonderful texture from Jerry. His textures rock as does this fabulous creation...f/v

Lois Bryan replied:

Thanks so much, Karen ... this is one of those images that was even great right out of the camera. I am pretty sure I had the polarizer on, and the light was behind me ... the only way I could have gone wrong is if a tractor trailer had come up behind me and run me over (as I was standing out in the middle of the road, LOL!!!) ... Glad you enjoyed it!!! And i so completely agree about Jerry ... I'd love to shake that man's hand in thanks, someday!!

Love the mood created by the composition and processing. Nice work.
