The third of three images from the Remount Depot. All with similar ienhancement, to make a nice wall grouping.
This is the 80 yr-old Forest Service Remount winter range with the buildings and fences pretty much in tact, although the places hasn't been in use since the 1950s. The sheltered valley offered good winter range for the mules and saddle horses the U.S. Forest Service used for maintaining the nearby wilderness areas.
I took this in the Spring, when everything was just greening up.
