Perfect looks great

January 19th, 2019

The 5 stars rating is for the image--not the quality of the finished product. I love the photo; it is perfect because it is an image of the mountains near my house. But although I love the effect of the image on aluminum, I am not happy with a large bump on it. Does Dr. Pimple Popper make house calls? I can't get a good pic of the defect, but it is very obvious in person. I have seen other finished aluminum photos the same size as mine and they don't have a defect like this. But the photo is so beautiful, I can overlook it. Thank you Steve Baranek!

We love it and love Hunting Island!

this was given as a gift to my neighbor who also lives here in Tucson. This photo is an area just south of where we live and reminds us of how beautiful and unique our backyard is. All of Marks photos are phenominal and I would recommend any of them to anyone who is looking for a unique gift for someone special.. Bob G

this sits above my television in my living room and matches the view I have looking west at sunset. Everyone that sees it, loves it. I purchased two of Marks other desert landscapes pictures to give as Christmas presents and they were well received. These metal prints stand out and are absolutely beautifully done. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for an unusual and beautiful gift or just something to grace their own home Thank you Mark for your excellent photography Bob G

Came out Awesome. Very Happy with my purchase. Wish the artist made this available in more options like cell phone cases and coffee mugs!

Artist's Description

A migrant's shack (repainted and vastly renovated in the early 2000s) in the former Weedpatch camp, a "rescue camp" for distressed migrant workers -- whom some disparagingly called "Okies" -- who had fled Dust Bowl conditions in the Great Plains during the Great Depression of the 1930s. The camp, about 10 miles (16 km) south of Bakersfield, California, was also referred to as the Sunset Camp and was officially known as the Arvin Federal Government Camp. Author John Steinbeck called it "Weed Patch Camp" in his novel, "The Grapes of Wrath."A larger, modern group of resettlement homes surrounding a few remaining camp buildings still aids migrant agricultural workers, mainly from Mexico, today. Nearby in Kern County is the small town of Weedpatch.
