I love my new bag. It is so beautiful. I work in schools with children who have hearing loss and they love my bag. I get to share information about hearing loss with teachers in the school when they ask about the lovely picture. I also tell them about Ms. Soares. Thanks for sharing her story. It makes the picture even more unique. I had a difficult time choosing from all the options just related to hearing but fell in love with all of her offerings on this site. The quality of the bag is great also.

I purchased this for a gift and the recipient was blown away. The artistry is alive in this bag with Frida. Perfect!

I absolutely LOVE Monica's artwork and it's extra special to be able to carry her artwork around with me wherever I go. Quality of the bag is good, too!

I’m very pleased with my Back2bike bag from artist John Kurtyka. The bag is high quality so it holds my library books quite securely. And since I’m a bike rider, I love the picture, so unique, people notice it and comment so I tell them about this website and the unique works of this artist.

Artist's Description

Close up portrait of a Reticulated Giraffe. The reticulated giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis reticulata), also known as the Somali giraffe, is a subspecies of giraffe native to Somalia, southern Ethiopia, and northern Kenya. Reticulated giraffes can interbreed with other giraffe subspecies in captivity or if they come into contact with populations of other subspecies in the wild. The reticulated giraffe is among the most well-known of the nine giraffe subspecies. Together with the Rothschild giraffe, it is by far the giraffe most commonly seen in zoos. Its coat consists of large, polygonal, liver-colored spots outlined by a network of bright-white lines. The blocks may sometimes appear deep red and may also cover the legs. The extraordinary height of giraffes is attributed to a ritual known as "necking", where two males fight for reproduction rights by slamming their necks into one another. The giraffes with the tallest and strongest necks are victorious and allowed to reproduce, thus...

About Judy Whitton

I am a self taught photographer and a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana. My love of photography started out in the late 60's when I was given a box camera to use. Back then the rolls of film I was given to use were few and far between. So, that taught me to be very selective about what I took photos of. Somewhere along the line I was given a 110mm instamatic camera and didn't buy my first and only 35mm camera, a Nikon EM, in the early 80's. In 2002 at a family reunion, my uncle was showing me his digital camera. I was totally fascinated at the idea of being able to take as many photos as I wanted without having to buy film or have it developed. Shortly afterwards, I bought my first digital camera, the Sony Mavica CD400. I used...
