I bought this shower curtain for my customer and she left this review: "What a magnificent work of art...Photography is incredible. Exquisite material to touch...no plastic job here gotta tellya. Bath became a garden of delight. Owner is quite delightful herself...explains the shop! One of a handful of truly beautiful things I own."

I bought this shower curtain for my customer and she left this review: "Matches my bathroom perfect. I think it is more of a pale greenish yellow than just yellow. Love it!"

I love it! It reminds me of snorkeling through the kelp along the Southern California coast. Coming up for air.

I'm thrilled that I purchased Robin's shower curtain. It's absolutely beautiful! Stepping into my bathroom and being greeted by these colors and the fun design makes me happy. In addition to it being a gorgeous piece of art, I'm pleased by the high quality of the shower curtain itself. This was a great purchase. Thank you, Robin!

It’s ok. The image is slightly blurred, and not drawn by Schultz. I think I’ll keep it, but it’s not great.

Artist's Description

2009 RC deWinter ~ All Rights Reserved ~~ A sturdy and persistent poison ivy plant flourishes in the cracks of this bricked-over window at Old Newgate Prison and Copper Mine in East Granby, Connecticut. Copper was discovered on what became known as Copper Hill in 1707, and a mine was established. The first copper coins in the English colonies were made from this copper in 1735. Mining operations ceased, and in 1773 the colony of Connecticut began using the property as a prison to incarcerate dangerous criminals. Tory and Loyalist prisoners were also kept here during the Revolutionary War. In 1827 the prison was re-converted to a mine under a charter issued to the Phoenix Mining Company. The site was given to the state of Connecticut in 1968, and in 1976 Old Newgate Prison and Copper Mine was named a National Historic Landmark. Painted from an original photograph shot in May 2007.

About RC DeWinter

One of my major artistic goals, with appropriate images, is to create digital paintings that you wouldn't know were digital unless I told you. If I could paint in oils I would...alas my eyes don't work with my hand, so I create most of my art from photographs that I re-imagine. Few of my digital paintings resemble the original photographs very much when I am finished with my vision. Of course I also create work that is clearly digital as well. Here's a bit about me: RC...
