This Osprey soars above the Rogue River near Gold Beach, OR searching for food. The primary diet of the osprey is fish and they can be found near bodies of water usually nesting in tall trees or man made osprey nesting platforms.

Ospreys are found on every continent except Antarctica. They are known as sea hawks, fish eagles, fish hawks and river hawk in various areas of the world. There are four subspecies of Ospreys with the noticeable differences being in the chest band colors and the face mask.
