An acrylic painting on Canvas of a decoreltic design of a seagull and boats riding the wind. My father, James Cassidy 1926 - 2014 coined the term 'decoreltic design', a fusion of celtic and modern design. In this painting, I'm trying to depict the exuberance and feeling of the wind in the sail, the sunset and being at one with nature!

I absorbed the basics of life and painting from my father, James Cassidy. In the late 1970's I spent five years working in a Graphic Design studio in Dublin City. The influence of that discipline can be seen in some of my paintings. I enjoy experimenting with various painting styles and mediums also photography and lately, digital art. I was honored to win a master class when I submitted my painting, The Burren, back in the 1990's with the renowned contemporary Irish artist Robert Ballagh. I have been involved in community art and education particularly with under represented communities.
