Description
First glance suggests a quilt, yet on the Road to Now Here cars collide, morph into opposites, alien wastelands of petro-pathology. Corner images, the callously-created calamity of the 750 trillion liter Gulf oil spill, symbolize the ancient elements earth, air, fire, and water. These compounds, vital to our survival, suffer degradation and destruction from our passion for petroleum. And indeed, quilting motifs from simpler eras, prior to petroleum�s power, tell us our time will also pass. Unending recycle-sign roads hint that perhaps there�s still hope we can exit our road to nowhere.
