Description
West Hill Covered Bridge, also known as the Crystal Springs Covered Bridge. This a wooden covered bridge that crosses West Hill Brook in Montgomery, Vermont on Creamery Bridge Road. This covered bridge is somewhat difficult to find. If you drive up the west hill road it's on the right and if you drive up the parallel road the hill west road it's on the left between them. The river passes down between the two roads dividing the creamery bridge road. I've driven by it many times but after missing it for 3rd or 4th time I now spot the road. I also think they have added a road sign for the covered bridge. In years before you couldn't cross the bridge in a car due to its condition. In 2012 The renovated the bridge and it will now take a car or light truck across. The bridge is of Town lattice design built by Sheldon and Savannah Jewett - brothers who built several bridges in the area. Check my article for more information on its location.
