Absolutely love this print. We converted our formal living room into a music, lounge, study, hang out space for our three tween boys. It’s perfect!

Was looking for a nautical theme print to go with our antique replica of "The Sea Witch". Capt. James Cook was one of the first to make navigational maps! Perfect pairing! We love the quality, the ease of order and the timeliness I which we received him! Thank you and will certainly place more orders......

My husband is the Skipper on the Pacific Viking and my son the engineer. A nice picture for the 'collection.

Artist's Description

ROAD TO UMA THE DAY I painted this, I was in a summer mood. Tired of the endless snowstorms, tired of the cold wind blowing down my neck, tired of slipping and sliding on the ice! So I decided to paint an ode to summer. This is the road that curves gracefully between the spruce trees at the entrance to the UMA campus. Dappled in light and shadow, the road winds along the curve of a green, green field, beckoning the traveler as it whispers the question: "Just what is it that's around that corner?"

About Laurie Breton

I call what I do "painting the light" because my paintings reflect my passion for light and shadow and their effects on the landscape. As a self-taught artist, I paint what I feel in my heart. Every scene I commit to canvas was chosen because it has struck some deep emotional chord in me, and I try to infuse my work...
