A herd of wild Colonial Spanish Mustangs roaming freely on the beach's of the northernmost point of Currituck Outer Banks, NC USA. They are designated as the State Horse and defined as a cultural treasure by the state of North Carolina. The unfortunate thing is they are being pushed out of their freedom by man building enormous homes and taking up all their land. Constant jeep tours from dusk until dawn parade around them every day, 7 days a week which gives them no privacy. Some have even lost their lives getting hit by vehicles or fed by the ignorance of humans who do not follow the laws that are stated to stay 50' or more away from them and not too touch, feed or approach. Some have become friendly due to this and it causes problems to making decision for them to be removed from their freedom and trained to be put up for adoption to a more permanent home with humans. It's very sad!
