Prints are lovely, shipping was exorbitant. I ordered from an Irish artist’s (Val Byrne) website, to be delivered to an Irish address, and it wasn’t until completing the order that I saw shipping was going to be 55 pounds sterling. It was not immediately clear from the artist’s website that the prints would ship from anywhere far away enough to justify such a cost, nor that the order would be fulfilled by a third party in America.

Hamburg, Germany, 2014. The series "Animal Portraits in Black & White" is about portraying animals as beings of unique and individual dignity, elegance, and beauty. I try to cut through stereotype views and open new perspectives on the subjects. In light of decreasing biodiversity, a new view of wildlife is desperately called for. If we see more in the animals than the brutal hunter, the ugly carnivore or the primitive jungle dweller, this might make it easier for us to see them
