The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

Lake Santeetlah is a hidden treasure in the North Carolina mountains near Robbinsville, NC. While paddling a kayak, I came around a bend and found this wonderful area near the bank where a rock outcropping was just under the water. I paddled over, tied the kayak to a tree root and stepped out onto the perfect place to sit in the water and cool off on a hot July day. I snapped a photo on my way out and caught the sun shining through the shallow waters as shadows of overhanging trees added to the effect.
Terry is retired and enjoying the opportunities to pursue photography, art, writing and getting back to nature. After a 22 year career in the USAF, he settled into a new career in Human Resources until deciding retirement was a lot more fun than working. His photography reflects the beauty of the low country marshes, creeks, rivers and beaches of the South. Golf is also a passion of retirement with many photographic images of courses around the country. He paints in watercolor and writes blogs about his photographic adventures around the area and hopes you'll take the time to check them out. Now living back in South Carolina, on the SC/GA border on the Savannah River (Lake Thurmond/Clark's Hill Lake area) and looking forward to many...
