This is my Best Seller online! I was experimenting a technique that illustrators were doing - making patterns of color as opposed to realistic backgrounds. I made the horse spotted because he is like the first horse we ever bought, and is still one of my favorites. Don Langeneckert’s career as an illustrator was spent in advertising for major companies, especially Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis, Missouri. Back in the day, the goal was to paint the best side of every image to create the best ad possible.
