One of my early oil paintings, depicting the scene from William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet where Romeo thinks Juliet is dead - yet her cheeks are rosy as if she still lives - and kisses her one final time before he poisons himself so they can be together again in death only to realise that she is still alive.
