This was painted on location then finished back in my studio. I changed the colors and added some light in the tree and the grass. Also I made the rose bush larger. Parks in a city are a nice spot to paint.
Marita�s interest in art began after leaving her career in International Banking to raise her family. (in the 1980�s) After receiving a set of oil paints as a birthday gift from her husband and experimenting with them she instantly knew that she wanted to have this creative outlet in her life. She began taking adult education classes in painting and drawing where she met artist Ellen Hall who encouraged her talents. She has been painting and studying with Ellen Hall and the Ivyland Art Group since 1995; in addition she enrolled at Montgomery County Community College majoring in Fine Arts.
