About Scott Kingery

I worked as a graphic artist for over thirty five years. My art interests have always been eclectic. I like experimenting with different media, exploring ways to add texture, and combining different media. That illustrator part of me always comes back to realism though. My favorite mediums have always been acrylic and collage. In recent years however, I have gone to working in colored pencils (prismacolor and also pastel pencils). Re your comment about b&w ... i'm beginning to see that the ones that appeal to me are the ones with strong geometric patterns. The color ... unless it's awesome in and of itself ... seems to distract the eye from the beauty of the simplicity of the shapes. You've really illustrated that here ... and i agree ... sometimes an image really does tell you what it wants done to it!!!
Scott Kingery replied:
I really appreciate your comments Lois. You make me feel like not so much of a hack. Thank you!
Beverley Harper Tinsley
Fascinating!
Scott Kingery replied:
Thank you Beverley.

What an unusual find, Scott!!! Love it in the black and white!! f/v
Scott Kingery replied:
Thank you Lois. My wife wondered why I took it in black and white. I couldn't answer her. It just felt black and white. Less than five miles from my home actually.
