I think he was, Carl. The other birds were getting near his popcorn! :)

He looks angry.

Thanks, Ana. :)

Thanks very much, B. :)

Thanks very much, Luke. :) I owe the clarity to my wonderful camera, and for this time, a very steady hand.

Kristin- what a great capture! The resolution so crisp and the action so lively. Love the emotion and movement in this. I can hear the screech too :) Odd in his post above, described my initial reaction best. F/V!

Thanks, Patricia. I appreciate your support. :)

You're quite welcome, Xueling. Glad you like this one. Yes, I need to make another visit - maybe this summer. :)

Thank you for visiting my gallery and leaving a comment on my "At Monterey Wharf CA"!! I love your capture, I think Monterey is calling you "come back...", lol!

Thanks, EG. He was a real character. :)

Thanks, Chrisann, for featuring this one and the others, in the Weekly FUN for ALL Mediums Group. I appreciate it. :)

Thanks, Ann. :)

Wonderful caught-in-the-act shot, Kristin, and a most apt title!

Thanks, Odd. I was very pleased with the detail when I opened the image on my computer. Sometimes, my camera gets it right. :)

hahaha, 'twasn't me who had the popcorn, but I would imagine that an old maid would have been discarded pretty quickly by the bird - more of a hard nut to crack if you will. :)

At first I smiled. Then I stared... the clarity of this image is stunning.

Well, I hope you didn't toss him an 'old maid' ;-)
