Description

I had never heard of the Rhyolite ghost town until I made the drive from Northern California to Las Vegas and back. Rhyolite is just outside of Death Valley on the Nevada side. It started as a mining town, one of many in the area. However, it didn't last long because the ore they were mining ran out. The area became a tourist attraction and was used in a few movies. The buildings fell to decay.
