Water flows past rocks in a river, making its way around, between, and over the smooth stones it has been caressing for years. On the surface, light and shadows play. The clarity of the surface shows the rocks and sand on the bottom, in various shades of brown, orange, and yellow. All of this forms a background for the large slabs of rock that jut up from the water, giving the contrast of angles and solidity to the smooth flowing lines around it.

I've always loved looking at nature, drifting along with the ever-changing clouds, stopping to smell the roses. God's creation gives an abundant and ever changing variety of subjects for me to capture. I enjoy photographing all of nature, from the wide vistas of mountains and valleys, right down to spiders, butterflies, and dewdrops. I bought my first camera, a Canon AE-1, in 1979, and practiced and experimented and asked questions. I still ask questions and read blogs; but I've never taken a formal course or workshop.
