Description
My neighbors house had a bad fire that took their house, two cars and their pets. I paint most things in my life and this sad night is no exception. This is a surrealistic view of what the house looks like now. The house was built for their grandkids, hence the statue of the kids reading on the rock. It is the same statue that I saw in their front lawn, it is still there. The kite takes away the dream catcher to show the hopes and dreams of what this place meant to their family is now gone. Sad House stands sad today, alone and broken with empty promises of a future that it will never have. In many ways the meaning of this work can be parallel to life. Thank you, Randy for the grand compliments. I'm glad you took to this one. Like most of my work, I want to leave the viewer w mixed emotions. This one, a beatiful view to gaze, but only w the sadness that life events will eventually hold for most of us. Life, after all is a mixed bag of ups and downs. The journey is so worth it, but sometimes extremely hard to walk. I'm so glad you liked it.

Lisa, this is one of the most creative and dramatic pieces of artwork I have ever had the pleasure to view in my lifetime. My kudos go out to you for your inspiration, your thoughts, your creativity, and your sharing with other artists. This is just a very creative and masterfully done piece of art work. Thank you so much for sharing your rendition of what happened in your description. It means a lot to know what is on an artist's mind when they do what they do, and why! You gave us all of it, and I appreciate and applaud your grand efforts and thanks again for sharing with us.
