Saf-T-Oil (aka Public Safety Oil Service) operated a small chain of service stations in Macon, Georgia, through the mid-20th century. Owner/operator Bob Mullis opened the first station in 1935. The family-run business closed the las location in 2009. The old station on Macon's MLK Boulevard still features the company's iconic orange neon sign.
