Thank you very much! JD

It's really good work.

Really great work. Hard working blokes who are not working yet on the waterfront.

I'll look forward to seeing your new works! And thanks for your comment on on (I think) our Percheron stallion - he is cool guy!

Joel Deutsch replied:

It was meant in a positive way. Someone should paint that magnificent animal! JD

Thank you, Conni! And, that's some stallion!! I spent a couple of hours walking around St. Mary's and ended up painting for months. Is watercolor not wonderful? Now we're up at Grand Manan Island and I can't wait to get started on some Bay of Fundy stuff. This is the first time that I've had internet in days and I was delighted to receive your comment. Thanks again. -- JD

Your water - movement and reflections, is fabulous, Joel! L/Pinning on my Watercolor Paintings board on Pinterest - hope it brings you some views and sales.

Joel, Perfection!! l/f

Thank you, very much! I did a whole series of Saint Mary's watercolors in 2009, and still have a long list of future Saint Mary's subjects that I'd like to paint -- all from a couple of hours strolling around the harbor. Ism't it wonderful when our minds become obsessed with beautiful moments? - JD

Congratulations your painting is featured in The Art of Watercolour and our Facebook page

♣• CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR WORK WON THE 2ND PLACE IN THE "SHIPS & BOATS" CONTEST, ORGANIZED BY PAINTERS UNIVERSE GROUP. THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING ♣•

Joel Deutsch replied:

Thank you very much. Years ago, when it was located in another universe, I used to live down the road from you in Longwood.

I think I did about a dozen watercolors of St. Mary's over a three or four month period. I really get lost in time when I paint. This was the last of that series. But, it was not the last painting that I started. Just after I got my sketch on the paper for this one I started painting in a different style. I think the last piece in the new style was Repose - II, which is on this site. This ended up as a blend of two styles. I liked it so much that I framed it and kept it for myself. For a self-taught guy, I'm doing O.K. -- if you can see it, you can paint it!

Watercolour? What a talant - amazing piece of art!!!

Thank you! I just picked this one up from my framer this afternoon and I can't take my eyes off of it. I'll wait until tomorrow to hang it up. Rearranging the walls is always a challenge. It a pleasure to get positive feedback on my work. I suspect I have zero objectivity on the quality.

What a wonderful work, Joel ! Excellent ! The Best, Juergen

Thank you, very much!

Very beautiful piece of artwork Joel
