Description
Salmonella enteritidis bacterial culture. This large bacterial colony of Salmonella enteritidis grew rapidly (62 millimetres in diameter after 16 hours). Samples from this culture readily contaminated eggs when given to chickens by injection but not when given by mouth. Salmonella enteritidis is one of the bacteria strains responsible for food poisoning, causing fever, abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhoea.
