I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

This painting was completed substantially on location at Salt Creek Falls west of Crescent, Oregon. The single drop of these falls is reputed to be the second highest in Oregon, with the tallest being Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. The trail beyond the railings and finished area with picnic tables along the topside takes you to this viewpoint, and then further on down to near the base of the falls. There is a trailhead to Diamond Falls near the parking area. There is a fee for visitors, but with a national parks pass displayed as appropriate, the fee may be waived. There is a highway right nearby the turn off to the parking area. The falls are in an area of old growth forest, very beautiful area, and without crowds of people you may find at other waterfalls, such as Multnomah Falls. The falls of Salt Creek Falls are reputed to be 286' in height. The painting viewpoint here is at a point about half of the trail hike down to the base of the falls.
