The artist is my son and is very talented. In high school he was accepted by Chicago Art Institute but couldn’t afford the tuition. He graduated from Fredonia State University with a Fine Art degree.

When I was young, art became my transportation; I could go anywhere. It could be summer when the snow was falling or cool crisp winter when the days were too hot. Contemplating all the details or possibilities that a drop of ink or a blob of paint can hold locked within it begins as an intriguing mystery. Directing and watching it grow into something that can transport the viewer to another place, even for a moment, is a tremendously fulfilling adventure. Mary, this rendering easily outshines many of the San Francisco entries in a Victoria-&-Albert Museum exhibit about 20 years ago, comparing post-Earthquake West Coast architecture with the buildings that rose in Chicago after its Great Fire.

Mary, Beautiful work! and thanks for the nice comments on my artwork. In answer to your question, I primarily use Rapidograph pens, but I also use Micron pens and brush pens as well as Pentel brush pens. I am currently playing around a little with Scratchboard. If it turns out okay, I'll hopefully post it soon. Thanks again. Larry
