Karen Cattel is a special artist and her whimsical art looks great on the two sturdy totes I purchased. One is a gift for a friend and the other is for me. I love them.

I so appreciate being able to have this old-fashioned outdoor dinner scene on a tote bag. It is adorable. Thank you for making it available.

I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

Too often this story stops with the loss of The Alamo, but it continues with General Sam Houston exacting revenge on General Santa Anna on April 21, 1836 in present day Harris County, TX. The battle lasted 18 minutes, 630 Mexican soldiers were killed, 730 taken prisoner with losses on the Texans side of 9 dead. The day following the battle Santa Anna was captured and subsequently signed a treaty removing all Mexican troops from the region, declaring The Republic of Texas an independent country.

Sam Houston became a national hero, but more significant was the battle cry heard through out the battle, "Remember the Alamo" that Texas became known for.

This monument was errected in memory of this battle in 1939...
