The vibrant sense of life you bring to everything you do is a source of endless pleasure to the viewer! This zestful look at a "humble" bridge expresses the way the handiwork of our forefathers harmonized with the beauty of the earth in a way that -- thanks to the observation and caring of people like you -- might someday be restored. A similar thing happened on the dirt road from Saratoga to the two-track that eventually leads to our little log cabin. When I was a kid the narrow, rough wooden bridge across the bottom of a deep ravine gave each trip to town a sense of hair-raising adventure. Now the county has replaced it with a huge culvert that takes away all the danger and romance, not to mention beauty.
