I did not recieve this yoga mat that I orderd.
This oil painting was commissioned. It is based on my "Venice Beach Sunset" photo and I have painted a smaller version earlier -- it has sold. The view is from the Venice Beach pier looking north across Santa Monica Bay. On the far right is Santa Monica and the pier. The Santa Monica mountains are painted in great detail with thick oil paint. Also painted is the Pacific Palisades and the lights along the coast highway -- the road to Mailibu.
I am a self-taught artist and have been painting in oils for many years. At the same time my photography has developed following the same principles of composition and color. Much of my work has a "save the environment" theme and my inspiration comes from nature and visions of light and color. My interest in art began in the 5th grade with a remarkable teacher who, along with all the other subjects, made time for art and music every day. I am influenced by a diverse group of artists who have come before me -- from da Vinci and Dali to Monet and Lassen. This website has helped me reach an audience all over the world.
