I am collecting my favorite 10 Sports Illustrated covers. This is my favorite cover of all time. Great quality and the black frame is perfect.

I have been reading Sports Illustrated since 1964. It was always exciting to see who would be on the cover each week. I love the large size of these framed covers. I have ordered six with four more to order. I am collecting my favorite 10 covers. It’s expensive, but worth it. I am totally satisfied with the frames and quality. Awesome!!!!!!!!

I first saw this picture many years ago in an antique shop in Northern British Columbia. I didn't have the $150.00 asking price and sadly had to leave it. It has been in my mind for close to thirty years and thanks to you I now own it. The picture is beautiful and I love the frame. Thank you so much for removing an item from my bucket list.

I bought this piece to complement my newly renovated master bath. It could not be more perfect -- the colors, the size, the mood....all exceeded my expectations

Exactly what I was looking for- super piece for a renovated equestrian themed powder room. Only issue was with the framing job- the wire to hang came apart immediately, causing us to almost completely drop the piece to the floor. But as far as artwork goes- it’s spectacular.

I had an issue with my original order. Once I provided pictures showing the problem it was resolved to my satisfaction. It was a good experience and I would purchase from this vendor again.
Artist's Description
The diva to end all divas was "The Devine" Sarah Bernhardt (1844-1923). Her repertory (acting only in French) was varied, even playing Hamlet.
Her performances always sold out. On one of her nine "farewell tours" she appeared at the Tucson Opera House on April 18, 1911.
In 1912 pioneering mogul, Paramount founder (and long lived) Adolf Zukor (1873-1976) lent respectability to the "flickers" by exhibiting her four reel "Queen Elizabeth;" the first feature length film shown in the US.
Styles in film acting then were far from subtle, employing flailing hand gestures.
A year later Bernhardt had one leg amputated, although she was unsteady before the operation.
In this brief excerpt she is holding on to another actor for support.

About David Lee Guss
I first became obsessed with photography and motion pictures while growing up in post WW2 Manila in the Philippine Islands in the late 1940's/early 1950's. Film noirs were a particular influence. But my first love remains the theater. I acted in numerous amateur productions from 1958 to 1978. In 1979 I earned a MA in drama from the University of Arizona; earlier getting a BA in English from the University of Minnesota, where I co-founded the first film society on campus and ran it for four years. While at the U of A, I studied with the master black and white photo essayist W. Eugene Smith (1918-1978) the last year of his life. I am the last person cited in Jim Hughes' definitive biography of Gene, as I wrote about attending his final...
