Description
Satyr Faunus Devil and discobolus eight.
Inhabitant of the Greek forests very popular with the nymphs, being extremely affectionate and fun.
Their appearance is very similar to that of demons, but they are not the same, since fauns are fun and they like wine, partying and especially sex for pleasure.
In the Catholic religion, they look the same as these demigods, but they represent carnal sin, betrayal, and every imaginable evil. The originals are the Greeks and the demigod Pan is the most important of all.
Pan is recognized as the god of the fields, groves, wooded glens and sex. Because of this, Pan is connected to fertility and the spring season.
The aesthetics of the characters that belong to the sacred history are copied from some religions to others, applying some changes that they suppose, quite the opposite of the original ones. In the case of the Greek religion it is greatly exaggerated, compared to the related religions of the Old Testament.
These characters of mine have the quality that they can all be at once. I have not put goat's feet or tail on them, so that they are closer to humans and symbolize the natural instinct of our animal impulses.
About the male nude there has always been a censorship or self-censorship so as not to hurt sensibilities, but with the female it is the opposite. The beauty of both genres is evident and like the lion, the peacock, the goat, the bull, etc. the male in all species is beautiful and striking.
The truth is that the male nude is always shown either with the genitals of a small boy, or with grape leaves or veils flying or simply on his back to hide the nature of the adult penis, as if it were something dirty and indecent.
I claim that human anatomy is not a cause for embarrassment or laughter and that it is once and for all assumed as part of our nature, which is precious in every way. I wouldn't want us to be naked on the streets, but in art, self-censorship and pixelation are intolerable.
Art is not obscene and it is not pornography. I simply try to reproduce our nature without deception and without leaving the hidden part of the figure to the imagination, because some imaginations are perverse and label any naked man as gay.
