When will I get my order???
This Ponderosa Pine is over 200 years old and the owners of the property were going to have to cut it down because they couldn't afford the extra money it would take to rebuild the surrounding area. Instead they asked local artists if they would be willing to paint the tree and donate the paintings to an auction to save the tree. Of couse I said yes and this is the resulting painting. This beautiful tree will be saved!
I was born and raised in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. Creativity was encouraged in my family and I began drawing from a very early age. I studied Fine Art at Langara College and the Vancouver School of Art for 4 years, then moved to Utah and had a rewarding 32 year career as a Designer and Art Director. During those years I raised a family, worked and painted in watercolor. In 2008 I moved to Northern Idaho and started painting full-time, switching my focus from watercolor to oil painting. Joining a local Plein Air Painting group cemented my love for landscape painting. I also enjoy painting still life, animals and cityscapes. I hope that you enjoy my paintings. Leona
