This image says so much and is the kind of art which we can all learn to paint with extra spark. Thank your for your photography and I hope to look at it again and again. The depth of field is tremendous and I love the purple mountains in background; however, the bales of hay in the foreground will always be my favorite FV

First of all, thank-you so much for commenting on my barn. I truely love shooting barns, but I can see after viewing your galleries, I have a long way to go . I've been viewing your galleries for a little while this evening and have many more I want to look at. Your works are stunning, I can't seem to get enough of them. You really inspire me to get out and get more shots and to work on making them so much better. I envy you both. You have a good eye for photography and great compositions, light and tones. They are all just breathtaking. I've only been here a couple of days and am enjoying this site so much. I want to keep coming back! Thanks again, Mary

Thanks so much Spencer! Celebrate life, Debra and Dave

Such beautiful colors. Love it.

Thank you very much Sharon! This barn has such a red roof and we happened upon the scene while cycling, just after the grass had been rolled. The Smoky Mountains are so pretty in the fall! Celebrate life, Debra and Dave

I was just looking thru the galleries of some of my favorites and came upon this wonderful image. I guess it caught my eye because of the season... it is beautiful...

Thanks for viewing our image Angela! We take along our Canons in our bike bags and stop at each of the cool barns we see along the way. It really makes the ride fun and we get some great shots. Celebrate life, Debra and Dave

Very good HDR effects, colors and light perfect!

Thank you very much Sean! Glad you liked this one. We pass by this barn on some of our longer cycling rides and always admire it. Celebrate life, Debra and Dave

Nice interplay of light and shadow.

Love love love my Chinoiserie print. I happened to have a frame that works and hung it in a spot I see throughout the day. Makes me smile! I'm thinking of ordering more of the series for another room. Appreciate that there are size options. It arrived quickly and well packaged.

I carved 3 Kokopelli figures and one sunburst onto a 36" wide board, next, I needed to paint them. Sadly, I'm from Atlanta, so, I don't know the SW pallet of colors. That's why I bought your painting - to glean inspiration. Your pallet has helped enormously. Of course, I didn't slavishly copy your mixtures; instead, I created my own. However, it must be stated that yours opened my eyes to some exciting choices. I'm nearly done painting the 3-D figures. When I'm finished, I'll send you a photo if you are really interested.

Love this art work. It is the Center piece of my living room. We are a fly fishing family and this couldn’t have been better.

Just love it. I get a smile on my face when ever I see it. Such a fantastic artwork. Bobby Zeik has a great sense of humor, color, texture. The perfect combination of an iconic image and artistic expression. The posters came very quickly nicely rolled in a tube. The paper quality is excellent.

Artist's Description

Autumn time, when the air is crisp and the color touches the trees, the Appalachian farms get ready for the winter, rolling grass into haybales to feed the livestock. This old barn was discovered along a back-road of North Carolina. The roof is in good shape and the barn is holding up under years of sun, wind, storms, and snow to house the hay-bales for the winter feed... .......................................................................................... Oat, barley, and wheat plant materials are occasionally cut green and made into hay for animal fodder; however they are more usually used in the form of straw, a harvest byproduct where the stems and dead leaves are baled after the grain has been harvested and threshed. Straw is used mainly for animal bedding. Although straw is also used as fodder, particularly as a source of dietary fiber, it has lower nutritional value than hay. It is the leaf and seed material in the hay that determines its quality. Farmers try to harvest ha...
