Sue Smith replied:

Ha, ha, Kellice! I totally love watching and photographing bison, but I do keep my distance. I'm quite certain this shot was made from my vehicle. Thank you for the support!!!

Sue, great capture! Looks like he is a rough dude, with all that snow. L

Sue Smith replied:

Thanks, Thomas! I love catching bison in the snow with their faces white from digging for food!

Thank you so much, Donna! Yellowstone can have snow any time which is one of the big draws for me. It's hard to believe we can't visit now with the fall colors. A little snow on colorful leaves...

Love this snowy scene Sue, hard to believe there is this much snow in May!...f/v

I love this winter shot with the snow on the trees and on his shaggy coat! I can't help but feel sorry for all the animals out in the snow making it through a long winter though.. I know they are used to it, but it can be pretty hard at times. f/v

Sue Smith replied:

Thank you, Kenny! Bison fascinate me. How can they even move with those skinny legs under those huge bodies?

Thank you, Susan Lee Giles, for featuring this photo on Women Photographers! I appreciate!
