Painting - Acrylic, Pencil And Chalk On Stretched Canvas
Scent of An Orchid: Prior to this completed painting, the artist had not seen the image of the woman, nor her long hair, nor the outline of the orchid. In the beginning, there was only the acrylic colors of red, green and white. One day, since the painting was suspended over his bed, the artist stood on the mattress and tried to use his imagination as to what might have been going on. Suddenly, he jumped down, picked up a pencil and some chalk, then began to create. First he saw that the chalk began to form streaks so he reinforced them using the pencil to represent long hair. Soon after creating the woman's profile, he outlined the white acrylic in pencil and formed the long-stemmed orchid.
