Description
New York's old industrial waterfront is being reshaped into a prime recreational and tourist attraction. In the process, sailing vessels like this one, a 1967 passenger boat based out of New London, and built on the lines of a 19th-century coastal cargo schooner, have become a commonplace instead of a rarity. The sight of those billowing sails still gives me a thrill, though.
