My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Thank you Mary Flore

Beautiful picture. Grew up on northshore so wanted something from there. Metal picture really shows the colors and picture quality is very clear.

This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

Artist's Description
Fog----Rocky Coast------Lighthouses, it must be New England. This lighthouse has all of the above. This light was built to protect Scituate Harbor in 1810 and lit in 1811. The interesting history surrounding this light has to do with the two daughters of keeper Simon Bates. The daughters were Abigail and Rebecca. During the War of 1812 the young daughters of the keeper prevented a British naval force from sacking the town by playing a fife and beating a drum. Evidently this “Army of Two” induced such fear in the British and convinced them that there was indeed an army of resistance lying in wait, and thus saved the town

Thanks so much Marty and enjoy. It is amazing how many images one can find on FAA that takes us back to another time. I do it all the time and when one of my image can achieve that for someone, well then it is really all worth it.

Just viewed all of your lighthouses and was gifted yet again with many more of your fine images of my childhood haunt, Scituate Lighthouse. I was not into photography as a child and too young to know I'd miss seeing this special place that holds so many memories,..thank you once again.
