The artist is my son and is very talented. In high school he was accepted by Chicago Art Institute but couldn’t afford the tuition. He graduated from Fredonia State University with a Fine Art degree.
Scranton PA is known for many things. Once upon a time in its heyday, vaudevillians of all sorts made Scranton a must play destination. Immigrants made it their home obtaining jobs in the mines and railroad. Today it is also known as the home of that scrappy kid Joe Biden former Vice President and now President. Perhaps in the eye of history and cultural relevance architecture should not be ignored. The city has many architectural wonders that showcase many styles.
The George P Abdalla building located in downtown Scranton was constructed in the years of 1891 to 1893. Architect was the Wilson Brothers. The land itself predates the building as far back as 1866. It changed hands before eventually being sold to the Central RR of New Jersey.
When station was in full use it was a catapult for the growth and expansion of Scranton Pennsylvania transporting anthracite coal to markets and passengers to Allentown, Philadelphia PA, as well as Washington DC.

My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...
