Here are several of my favorite mammals posing underwater. This painting was inspired by my love of these animals and love of water sports. I grew up in Pennsylvania and lived next to a dairy farm for a decade, always enjoying the sights and sounds of the barnyard animals. Now living in Florida,I frequently enjoy the clear warm waters by snorkeling, kayaking and swimming.

Laura has been drawing and painting in her free time since childhood. Animals and the great outdoors are her favorite subjects. After retiring from a career as a speech therapist, she decided to “become an artist”. In January 2016, Laura entered her first competition with “Emerging”, an acrylic painting of sea turtle hatchlings, at the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Competition and was excited to win a Merit Award. “Sea Cows” won the People’s Choice Award in October 2016 at the Strawbridge Art League October Fantasea Show. In October 2017, “Sea Cows” was one of 13 paintings chosen by the City of Cocoa to be wrapped around an electrical box in Cocoa, as part of a project to beautify the city and promote the arts....
