Description
I was recently in Sedona, Page, Antelope Canyon, Grand canyon, and Meteor Crater in Arizona on a special photo tour. I spent the whole day in a park at the Red Rock Creek Crossing, looking at the magnificent beauty of the Cathedral Mountain, as my husband decided to climb to its top. Once finished--several hours--he came back to the park to get me --the view point is about a 10-15 mile trip from the hiking trail. As we drove out of the park, I suddenly spotted this point of view. There was no one there. there were a few homes with large horse ranches near by so I am sure it was Navajo living areas we happened to stop in but no one bothered us. So I decided to test my skills at hand-held panorama shots of 5 photographs--not advisable! I turned lucky this time since Photoshop is smarter than I am and knew which photo came next to which... I had no clue!

I read from a well known photographer, Scott Kelby, that when you shoot panorama image, shoot your left thumb into the picture for the left first photos and the right thumb for the right most photo... I should have thought of that! I will most certainly do that next time. Furthermore, a tripod is highly recommended so that each photo is not so badly out of alignment.

I believe this panorama pretty much covers all the spots in Sedona that it is famous for but of course there are other beauties in just about every corner that few people know about. Sedona is toward the northern part of Arizona and is famous for its red soil, red rocks, and most amazing "out of this planet" looking rocks, mountains, and canyons.
