About Carol Bostan
I was born in 1967 in Oxford, England. I qualified and worked as an embalmer for 14 years around the London area, then Cornwall and Devon. I moved to Turkey in 2002 and ran a hotel near Antalya with my Turkish husband. In my spare time I re-took up my hobby of painting and developed a love for traditional Turkish designs. We then moved to Fethiye in 2008, and I have just recently found the time to start painting again. I love traditional and abstract paintings with Turkish themes. My medium is acrylic, and I particularly love painting people. I love the contrast of light and dark, and shadows on the skin. Many of my works are quite textured and contain iridescent paints.
