Sentinel Sea Gull ~
Standing atop the rail of an old and rusted channel marker, enhanced by an impressive, crisp blue sky, a sea gull enjoys a moment of rest before returning to its search for food.
Sea gulls are aquatic birds living on or near, or frequenting the sea. Most often gray and white in color with a hooked bill, slender legs and webbed feet. They feed on insects, worms, crustaceans, or maybe even taking advantage of a fry or two if they happen to be near a restaurant. Other hardy seabirds living near the ocean include the auk, gannet, gull, tern, and petrel.
