Serinna the serene one. She is imperturbable. I believe her decoration above her head is a symbol of her gift of interpretation. The special medallions on her necklace are some sort of Ummin and Thummim. Her whimsome gaze is compelling enough to assume she is about to speak her dissertation on some clan issue. Her aura specifies a presence about her that brings the profane and neurotic into holiness. She is mysteriously reaching for something underneath her scarlet garment. Scholars may debunk her GOD endowed gift of interpretation, but when she gives a look like this and begins to communicate, the skeptics nictitate. I chose a hazy background devoid of specifics to allow her portrait to be the main expression.
Serinna is part of the exhibit Maasai Women: A Chapter Celebrating Diverse Expressions in Realism, Baltimore, MD 20086
