About Rick Stoesz
I grew up in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. I loved hiking and exploring the nearby woods and river valley, always wondering what is over the next hill. I have always enjoyed drawing and since my first trip to the west coast as a child, I have loved the mountains. To this day, most of my work still has mountains in the background. After finishing school I moved to Vancouver, drawing and hiking every chance I got. Still investigating the next hill or valley, I moved to Whistler, and up as far as the Yukon. I love and miss the years I spent there. I still draw and paint mountain scenes and areas I used to hike in. I returned and met my wife in Quesnel, B.C. Being rather nomadic, we moved allot the first few years mostly in...
