I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.

Lee's Barber Shop, Tappahannock, VA. What a wonderful experience this was! Walking through the door was like stepping back in time. It was obvious when I got there, that the barber, Robert Gaines, was not thrilled with my being there. He was very skeptical of my reason for wanting to take pictures, and he barely spoke to me as I snapped photos. I promised him I'd come back and show him the finished picture but I think he was just glad to get rid of me!
The interior of Lee's Barber Shop is all original equipment and is a local landmark. The barber chairs are deep burgundy and accented by matching colors on the walls.

Every artist says "I was born to create". Ok, I say that too. I was the little girl who sneaked art coffee table books out of the library and hid them in my very messy desk because the librarian said I was too young for them. I stared at those pictures until they burned into my brain! I couldn't tell you what the painting was called, but I could show you exactly which book it was in and what page! I was a 7 year old art junkie. I always loved painting and had training in watercolor, oils and acrylic. Being left-handed, oil paints and I have no business being near the same canvas.
