So beautiful, Dawn, I love it! I still remember my dad having a Sheep herder watching our sheep on some field about 20 miles from our ranch. We went out and checked in on him occasionally. I imagine it was on some land my Great grandMother had purchased years before. She owned many parcels of land near Fresno, CA. This is gorgeous! V/F

The picture is beautiful as are all of Spencer Meagher's works. It is a wedding gift to a couple who spent their honeymoon in the area where this picture was painted. So I will be unable to supply you with a photo. But I can tell you I am very pleased with the painting and I have high hopes the happy couple will be as well.

This was my second metal print and I have not been disappointed. Quality is first class on both my metal pictures. They are glossy as metal prints are. I do love them but am hoping maybe some non-glare metal prints will also be available in the future. But for now, these are really very very nice and good not to have to mat and frame everything. They are ready to hang right out of the box and really do look sharp on the wall.

SHEEP HERDERíS WAGON: In my extensive travels driving the long and remote highways of Wyoming, I have sometimes seen a sheep herder's wagon in the distance, as it rumbles across the prairie along with the bleating flock, or perches atop a knoll to catch the breeze, abandoned while the shepherd rides herd with the dogs. The sheep roam vast stretches of sagebrush steppe, and in high summer climb the mountain slopes to forage in the meadows. Sometimes I have been lucky enough to listen in on the tales of the sheep herder, who when encountered on a rare trip to town, makes up for months of loneliness by talking for hours to anyone he can find willing to listen. The old sheep herder tells of his nights spent rifle in hand, ready for the coyote pack or the mountain lion. He squints his distrust of the eagle, but t...

About Dawn Senior-Trask

Dawn Senior-Trask

I have been an artist since I was knee high to a short-horned locust. My dad, Willoughby Senior (FAA) was a professional artist and writer and I have stepped in his shoes since I was born, though he drew horses better than I did when I was a kid. My family lived in a hand-hewn log cabin we built ourselves in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and had no water or electricity. I love my life with my husband and family in Wyoming among the horses, gophers, deer, antelope, coyotes, red-tailed hawks, and the wild landscape. My work is driven by the land, animals, wild plants and birds I have come to know so well. Hummingbirds still try to get nectar from my upturned fingers. My artwork consists of all these things and more...
