The sun is setting on the Scottish shipbulding industry .Scotland was once the shipbuilder to the world and the heart of its industry was sited on the south bank of the River Clyde in the Glasgow district of Govan. The cranes in this photograph are amongst the last remaining on the Clyde and may soon be only a memory.Taken from the Riverside Museum. Painterly finish.

I was lucky enough to be born and brought up here amidst the wonderful seascapes and landscapes of the Scottish west coast. My aim is to capture just a small part of their beauty in my photographs and to give those who look at them a taste of this magnificent country. I also enjoy capturing the beauty of the human form.
