Glad you noticed Hartmut, after the portico I paid special attention to balances.

This is a most wonderful painting, full of magical glowing light, set in a perfectly balances composition.

Thank you dear Laurie, just wanting to capture the feeling of a small town...the working shoeshine boy was a jewel I needed to add.

Oh, I love this, Clotilde!!! It's really beautiful, and I love the light, atmosphere, and mood you've created!!!! :)))fv

Perfect I interpretation dear Val......I just wanted to incorporate the human touch to the little town and the boy waiting for work seemed adequate ..thank you.

I love how he sits overlooking the plaza waiting for his day to begin! Lovely painting Clotilde! Lf

A little example of the beauty of Mexico...not comparison with your great photography...just a humble try dear Nicola. :-)

Beautiful subject ! Great composition ! I like lighting and colors you used in this painting.

Thank you for liking my young bolero dear Lenore....the plaza, church and the portal, every town has them and I love them.

Another vote for this fave of mine. Love it!

I totally agree with you, Clotilde...it makes such a difference... The little boy confers another dimension to the entire composition! And congrats on your both sales, so well deserved. :)

Dear Mona, I did another similar to this but without the boy and made a great difference, I sold both but I feel he is important in making the viewer feel closer to the scene. I felt this with your gorgeous gondolas...

I'm so glad to discover this painting of your memories, dear Clotilde. I can feel its energy... you so finely depicted this beautiful scene in your unique style, just love it! f,v&G+ :)

A beautiful painting, Clotilde! V/F

I was born and raised in Mexico and even if long time has passed my memories of my past are very clear Ian...You are right, this have the look of De Chirico...funny, because my husband liked his work.

You are a true Hispano (Texano?) De Chirico, Clotilde! fav.
