The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Under the cover of darkness during the night of July 20, 2014, a memorial was erected in Budapest. The inscription read: Memorial to the victims of the German invasion. Those opposed to the monument hung a banner saying: Forgery of history. The memorial commemorates the German invasion of Hungary on March 19, 1944. One might imagine from the memorial that Hungary was a peaceful land that was suddenly caught up in the Nazi war machine. In fact, the Hungarian government was an ally of Nazi Germany for several years before the invasion and cooperated with Nazi policies. Locals have therefore created a makeshift memorial across the street to the victims of World War II-era Hungarians and not just Germans. Memorial pebbles, personal items, photographs, books and documents have been brought uninvited by citizens outraged by the falsification of history manifested in the monument.
