This was our first purchase from the site and we love it! It arrived quickly. We wanted something different for the guest bath and this art combined two of my husband's favorite things.The curtain has a quality feel to it and the design is bright I wasn't sure of the color combination at first (orangey red, navy, turquoise and a touch of black) but it works! We've received many compliments and chuckles. My only regret was not being able to fit the words on without using a border - I was unsure of the colors, etc. Bottom line is that we love what we received!!! LOVE it!

And this is how Tumacacori Mission looked in 1979. In 1945 David O. Selznick filmed the mission for inclusion in his epic western "Duel In the Sun." The cinematographer was Lee Garmes who worked with Ted on several films in the 1970's.
Garmes shot and co-directed with John Ireland, "Hannah Lee: An American Primitive," 1953. The low budget Western was not lensed on location in Arizona but in Chatsworth, California, the site of some 1,200 TV shows and feature films.

But my first love remains the theater. I acted in numerous amateur productions from 1958 to 1978. In 1979 I earned a MA in drama from the University of Arizona; earlier getting a BA in English from the University of Minnesota, where I co-founded the first film society on campus and ran it for four years. While at the U of A, I studied with the master black and white photo essayist W. Eugene Smith (1918-1978) the last year of his life.
